September 2011... My work has been selected as a finalist in the Clunes Ceramic Award from the 11rd of September.

August 2011... Transferring the Image opens in Sydney 26th August at the Kerrie Lowe Gallery. I have both my own work plus a collaboration with printmaker Kathy Fahey in this exhibition about imagery on ceramics.

July 2011... Busy getting it all together for Design Made Trade 21 - 24 July and the Melbourne Design Market at Federation Square on 24 July.

June 2011... Getting colder. So playing around with color again!

May 2011... 'Wish you were here' a group exhibition inspired by travel. This was a fun exhibiton to organise.

April 2011... After the joy of curating 'Forming Words'... another group show will be here soon... 'Wish you were here' opening 18th may 6:30pm

March 2011... A new group show coming up. Forming words is about ... text on ceramics! Opens 3rd March.

Feb 2011...It's really busy now and I am trying to shake off that summer holidays feeling... by making more of these beakers with Michaela Bruton’s lovely illustrations commissioned by Craft Victoria's New Craft Project.

Happy new year!.... 2011 and I am in my new studio... It is all up and running and busy again.

I am looking forward to moving into my new studio over Christmas!

September 2010... New cups for Cumulus restaurant in Melbourne available now! There were developed with Craft Victoria for Cumulus.
|

August 2010... Some new local stockists on board ... great to have support for local designer makers... I have also started teaching at our community learning center and it is so enjoyable to pass on the knowlege so generously shared by my teachers and friends...

July 2010... End of July now... Ceramics Now? opened at the Box Hill Art Space at the Town Hall... An exhibition that includes works from the Whitehorse City collection... wtih one of mine... so cool to be included in an exhibiton with some very fine ceramists.

July 2010... Back to the studio after a few weeks of exhibiton and design festival and just can't wait to get back into production. Have some new products under development and plenty of orders to keep busy in this cold weather...

Still March... My studio is quiet now... I completed the last firing for the next few weeks.. and the floor is so clean!

march 2010... The end of march... a little set of nexted bowls I created for the 340 gram exhibition coming up in April... They weigh in at 336... phew...

march 2010... It has been very busy recently - with orders, exhibitions and comissions so I am looking forward to a week off at easter! The yearly teapot exhibition at the studio@flinders and the Toyota Community Spirit Gallery 2010 Emerging Artist Exhibition exhibition both open next week

feb 2010... There are so many great exhibitions and opportunites to prepare for and the studio is busy. I have been working on one particular project for months... a comission for a simple teapot... Although I make teapots as part of my production line... this is a korean style teapot... for some reason to get every component to work correctly together is elusive... |

I have made some water stones for the Herring Island "Oasis" Exhibition - Starts Saturday and runs over the following two weeks. This has to be one of the most fun things to do in Melbourne each summer. Only accessible by punt (just a touch 'wind in the willows'). Wonderful sculpture in a natural environment... in the middle of the City.

Well, the Christmas Melbourne Design Market has been and gone.... which means the holidays start soon!
I am anticipating a productive time... culminating in a little exhibition opening early Jan in town

The Herald Sun visited last week which prompted a studio clean up!! no really... it doent always look so swish.......

Spring if on it's way... and the studio is in full swing... getting a few group exhibition items ready and working on production...

End of summer and time to get busy with this exhibition. Things are taking shape... working with decals has potential...

Summer is finally here and
as the end of the year
approaches I'm thinking
of lazy days at the beach!
So I've come up with some fresh designs to go with the mood.

We're flying through May.
Studio is getting a bit chilly. I found some little frogs living in my reclaimed clay bins outside! I moved them on though.
Still working on the molds for light housings and experimenting with joined forms... double walled bowls...
